From my personal experience as a business owner I'll share my business framework and guide you in making the right business decisions to foster growth.
When looking at how I change my business model you need to think about a basic strategy to work through.
1. Commit to a base strategy. It sounds good but have you really committed to the strategy if you look at yourself in the mirror?
2. Business Tactic. This is really the operational tactics in your business you need to start in operations when looking to make a transition. By starting in operations, you will speed up the adoption for the rest of the company when they jump on board
3. Finally, alignment. Is everyone in the company aligned to your goals? DO you run the company in a way that the individual contributor is recognized for there accomplishments and transparently can track it to their goal?
When building new products, you need to find a way to capture value. Capturing value is the way to really gather the most amount of profit available upon selling your products to customers.
1. Create more value - Do more service than your competitor will. Show up more often than your competitors.
Reduce value charging - be a cheaper option. This is not a sustainable strategy.
Eliminate value eroding exercise - what are your clients doing that is a waste of there time and you can simplify for them?
Alignment - Are the current job roles employees work in, the right setup for success? Are your expectations for the employees you must high or are they to attainable but not meeting your expectations? This tool allows you to evaluate weather you are setup for success or not and does it make sense?
